So since I severely rolled my ankle back in February, I’ve had a hard time rehabbing it back into shape but finally I’m able to tumble again! Feels so amazing. It’s been three years since my last competition ever (almost exactly, as it was worlds!). I can’t believe that I went from getting a spot on a round off back handspring back to landing a full in one night! 

Tumbling was always my favorite part of cheerleading and it always will be. My skills are like my babies. I just love them so much and I take so much pride in them because they are MINE. I’m sure other cheerleaders feel the same way. We all have such a strange, deep rooted relationship with our skills and everyone’s journey is different. It took me like 2 years to get a back handspring but like 1 year to go from a back tuck all the way up to doing fulls on senior elite teams- and that was back when we were on hard floor and like barely any senior teams used to have little girls on them.

Anyway, just super happy I have this again! Can’t wait to perfect it and get it on hard floor again.
